Soul and heart of radiobiological research of Russia
On 17 June, 20th anniversary of the Laboratory of Radiation Biology of JINR was celebrated, yet its history started much earlier.

Alushta-2025: unlimited science
On 8–15 June, the 14th International Youth Conference, organized by the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR (AYSS JINR), took place at the Dubna Resort Hotel (Alushta, Crimea). This year, 56 representatives of Russia, Cuba, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Romania, and Vietnam attended the event. Along with the autumn AYSS Conference, the Alushta Conference is the first round in the competition for the JINR Youth Prizes.

Degrees awarded
On 5 June, the JINR Scientists’ Club hosted the awarding of diplomas on conferring degrees. Four doctors of sciences and five candidates of sciences who defended their works in the JINR Dissertation Councils received diplomas. Representatives of the JINR Qualification Committee, scientific secretaries of the Dissertation Councils and their assistants, and guests invited by the degree holders congratulated the awardees.

Yachtsmen are competing
Participants of the JINR Sailing Club "Atom" won several competitions in early June. Sailing in Dubna has a long tradition. Yacht clubs at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and SEZ appeared in the mid-1950s along with the official birth of Dubna as a city in 1956. The cityscape could not be imagined without sails, the sails over the Volga were Dubna's hallmark, as it was presented to the world through photographs by Yu.A.Tumanov.
